THE ASSAM GAZETTE, EXTRAORDINARY, FEB. 27 1993, 75 Amendment™ of section 10 of Assam Act X of 1955 Amendment of saction 11 of Assam Act Xof 1955 Amendment of Schedule of Assam ActX of 1955 Amendment of Assam Act X of 1955 (b) in sub-clause (ii) after the - word “Scheme” the word ‘‘or” shall be’inserted - (c) after sub-clause (i), so amended, the following new sub-clauses shall be in“sert'ed, namely :— “(iij) any tea factory manifacturing tea where ten or more employees are employed ; (iv) Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-claus- es (i), (ii) and (ui) of this clause where it appears to the State Governme€nt, whether on an applicagion made to it in this behair or otaerwise, tnat tie em- Ployer and- i MAyBIiEy--Ol CrRpIay eas- i बेल to any establishment have agreed that the provi- sions of this Act should be made applicable to the establishment, jt may, by notiflcation in the Official Gazette, apply the provisions of this Act to that establishment on and from the date of such agreement or any subsequent date specified in such agreement”, . e ( 3. In the principal Act, in section 10, in sub-section (2), for the term beginning with the words, “in respect of the employees”, and ending with the words, “more than six months”, the following shall be substituted, namely :— g TTUERERY SR N “Whether in respect of the employees’ contribu tions (deducted from the wages of the employe- es) or the employer's contributions for a period of more than one month”. 4. In the principal Act.in section 11, for the words, “tea estate” the words, “tea plantation or tea fac- tory” shall be substituted 5. In the principal Act in the Schedule, in item 1 (b), for the words “tea estate”, the words, “tea planta- tion or tea factory” shall be substituted. 6. Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-section (2) of section 1 of this Act, jn the principal Aect, in the short title and long title bétween the term the bracket “(And Pension Fund)” and the word
