Preamble Where as it is expedient further to amend The Assam Tea Plantations Provident Fund and ~ Assam Pension Fund and Deposit Linked Insurance Fund ActX Scheme Act, 1955, hereinafter referred to as the of 1955 principal Act, in the manner hereinafter appearing ; It is hereby enacted in the Fifty-eighth Year of the Republic of India as follows:- Short 1. (1) This Act may be called the Assam Tea Plantations Provident Fund and title, extent Pension Fund and Deposit Linked Insurance f'und Scheme (Amendment) and comm. Act, 2007. encement (2) It shall have the like extent as the principal Aci. (3) It shall come into force at once. Amendment 2.In the principal Act, in section 7, - of Section । 7 @) in sub-section (1), ~ . . (a) for the words “ six months” occurring between the words “to” and “or”, the words “one year” shall be substituted ; (b) for the words “one thousand”, occurring between the words “to” and “rupees”, the words “five thousand” shall be substituted ; (ii) in sub-section (1A) , - (a) . in the first paragraph, for the words “six months”, occurring between the words “to” and “but” , the words “three ycars” shall be substituted ; (b) in clause (a), for the words “three months”, occurring between the words “than” and “in” the words “one year and a fine of rupees ten thousand” shall be substituted ; (¢) inclause (b), for the words “one month”’, occusring between the words “than” and “in”, and for the words “two thousand”, occurring between “to” and “rupees” the words “six months” and “five thousand”respectively shall be substituted; (0 in sub-section (2), for the words “six months” occurring between the words “to” and “or’”” and tor the words “one thousand” occurring between the words “to” and “rupees”, the words “one year” and “four thousand” respoctively shall be substituted. Amendment 3. In the principal Act, in section 7 A, for the portion beginning of section 7A with the words “one year” and ending with the words “four thousand rupees” , the words “five years but which shall cot be less than two years and shall also be liable to 4 fine which may extend to twenty five thousand rupees™ shali be substituted.
