An Act further to amend the Uttar Pradesh State Legislature (Prevention of Disqualification) Act, 1971
It is Hereby enacted in the Fifty-seventh Year of the Republic of India as follows:-
Section 1. Short title and Commencement
1. Short title and Commencement.- (1) This Act may be called the Uttaranchal [The Uttar Pradesh State Legislature (Prevention of Disqualification) Act, 1971] (Amendment) Act, 2006.
(2) It shall be deemed to have come into force on November 09, 2000.
Section 2. Amendment of section 2 of the principal Act
2. Amendment of section 2 of the principal Act.- In section 2 of the Uttar Pradesh State Legislature (Prevention of Disqualification) Act, 1971, hereinafter referred to as the principal Act, in clause (a), the word "honorarium" (whether the word salary, remuneration or any other word has been used for the purpose) shall be added before the word "daily allowance".
Section 3. Amendment of section 3 of the principal Act
3. Amendment of section 3 of the principal Act.- In section 3 of the principal Act-(a) for clause (x), the following clause shall be substituted, namely-
(x) The office of the Chairman, or Vice-chairman or Member (whether called Director or by any other name) of each of the following bodies, namely:-
(1) Rajya Apda Rahat Samiti.
(2) Apda Avam Nunikaran Prabandhan Pradhikaran.
(3) Bhagirathi Nadi Ghati Vikas Pradhikaran.
(4) Uttaranchal Parytan Vikas Parishad.
(5) Uttaranchal Krishi Utpadan Mandi Parishad.
(6) Rajya Stariya Krisak Mitra Parishad.
(7) Rajya Stariya Udyog Mitra Parishad.
(8) Uttaranchal Anya Pichhara Varg Ayog.
(9) Uttaranchal Bal Kalyan Board.
(10) Garhwal Mandal Vikas Nigam.
(11) Kumoun Mandal Vikas Nigam.
(12) Chaar Dham Vikas Parishad.
(13) Sri Badrinath Avam Sri Kedarnath Mandir Samiti.
(14) Uttaranchal Khadi Gramoudyog Board.
(15) Rajya Stariya Vishes Matrakaran Yojna Karyanvayan Avam Anushrawan Samiti.
(16) Uttaranchal Vanijya Kar Salahkar Samiti.
(17) Uttaranchal Anusuchit Jati-Janjati Ayog.
(18) Parytan Paramarshdata.
(19) Ganna Avam Chini Vikas Udyog Board.

(b) Clause (y) shall be omitted.
Section 4. Validation
4. Validation.- Anything done or any action taken by the bodies or its authorities after the commencement of this Act in the exercise or purported exercise of its jurisdiction, powers and authority conferred by or under the principal Act shall be deemed to have been validly done or taken as if the provisions of the principal Act, had been in force at all material times.
