Tamil Nadu Tax on Entry of Goods into Local Areas (Amendment) Act, 2003*

An Act further to amend the Tamil Nadu Tax on Entry of Goods into Local Areas Act, 2001
Be it enacted by the Legislative Assembly of the State of Tamil Nadu in the Fifty-fourth Year of the Republic of India as follows:-
* Received the assent of the Governor on the 18th May, 2003 and published in the Tamil Nadu Government Gazette, Extraordinary.
1. Short title, extent and commencement.- (1) This Act may be called the Tamil Nadu Tax on Entry of Goods into Local Areas (Amendment) Act, 2003.
(2) It shall be deemed to have come into force on the 21st day of March, 2003.
2. Amendment of Schedule.- In the Schedule to the Tamil Nadu Tax on Entry of Goods into Local Areas Act, 2001, after item 23, the following items shall be added, namely:-
"24 Low Density Polyethylene and Polypropylene in all forms including granules, tapes and wastes.
25. Washing machines.".
