An Act further to amend the Tamil Nadu Panchayats and Panchayat Union Councils (Appointment of Special Officers) Act, 1991
Be it enacted by the Legislative Assembly of the State of Tamil Nadu in the Forty-third Year of the Republic of India as follows:-
Section 1. Short title and commencement
1. Short title and commencement.- (1) This Act may be called the Tamil Nadu Panchayats and Panchayat Union Councils (Appointment of Special Officers) Amendment Act, 1993.
(2) It shall be deemed to have; come into force on the 30th day of September, 1993.
Section 2. Amendment of section 3
2. Amendment of section 3.- In clause (a) of sub-section (3) of section 3 of the Tamil Nadu Panchayats and Panchayat Union Councils (Appointment of Special Officers) Act, 1991 (Tamil Nadu Act ??? of 1991), (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act) for the expression "30st day of September, 1993", the expression "31th day of March, 1994" shall be substituted.
Section 3. Repeal and saving
3. Repeal and saving.- (1) The Tamil Nadu Panchayats and Panchayat Union Councils (Appointment of Special Officers) Amendment Ordinance, 1993 (Tamil Nadu Act ??? of 1993) is hereby repealed.
(2) Notwithstanding such repeal, anything done or any action taken under the principal Act, as amended by the said Ordinance, shall be deemed to have been done or taken under the principal Act, as amended by this Act.
