(1) This Act may be called the Tamil Nadu Inam Abolition Laws (Validation of Proceedings) Act, 1986.

(2) It shall be deemed to have come into force on the 14th December, 1976.

Notwithstanding that the V Additional Sub-Judge, Tiruchirappalli has not been appointed to perform the functions of the Tribunal under the Tamil Nadu Inam Estates (Abolition and Conversion into Ryotwari Act, 1963 (Tamil Nadu Act 26 of 1963), the Tamil Nadu Minor Inams (Abolition and Conversion into Ryotwari Act, 1963 (Tamil Nadu Act 30 of 1963) and the Tamil Nadu Inams (Supplementary) Act, 1963 (Tamil Nadu Act 31 of 1963) (hereinafter referred to as the said Acts) all orders passed, all applications, petitions and other documents received, all decisions and proceedings taken, all permissions granted, all directions and summons issued, and all other acts and things done as Tribunal under the said Acts by or before the said V Additional Sub-Judge, Tiruchirappalli during the period commencing on the 14th December, 1976 and ending with the 16th February, 1977, shall be deemed to have been validly passed, received, taken, granted, issued or done as if the said V Additional Sub-Judge, Tiruchirappalli had been invested with powers of the Tribunal under the said Acts with effect on and from the 14th December, 1976.

In computing the period of limitation for an appeal against, or for an application for execution, of, an order specified in section 2, the period between the passing of such order and the date of publication of this Act in the Tamil Nadu Government Gazette, shall be excluded.
