An Act to amend the Tamil Nadu General Saks Tax (Sixth Amendment) Act, 1997
Be it enacted by the Legislative Assembly of the State of Tamil Nadu in the Forty-ninth Year of the Republic of India as follows:-
* Received the assent of the Governor on the 27th March, 1998 and published in the Tamil Nadu Government Gazette, Extraordinary.
1. Short title and commencement.- This Act may be called the Tamil Nadu General Sales Tax (Sixth Amendment) Amendment Act, 1998.
2. Amendment of section 1.- In section 1 of the Tamil Nadu General Sales Tax (Sixth Amendment) Act, 1997 (Tamil Nadu Act 60 of 1997), in sub-section (2), for clause (c), the following clause shall be substituted, namely:-
"(c) Section 11 shall come into force on the 1st day of June, 1998.".
