Registration Validating Act, 1955

PUNJAB ACT 005 OF 1955
29 April, 1955

An Act to validate certain registrations and matters appurtenant thereto.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Punjab in the Sixth Year of the Republic of India as follows:

Section 1. Short title and commencement

(1) This Act may be called the Punjab Registration Validating Act, 1955.

(2) It shall come into force atonce.

Section 2. Validation of acts of registering officer purporting to act as Sub-Registrar

All Acts performed by the registering officer purporting to act as the sub-Registrar of Muktsar sub-district of the district of Ferozepur in the State of Punjab during the first ten days of June 1953 shall be deemed to have been validly performed as if the aforesaid person had been duly appointed as Sub-Registrar under the Indian Registration Act, 1908 (Act XVI of 1908), for the purposes of the performance of such acts.
