*Orissa Co-operative Societies (Amendment) Act, 1998**

An act further to amend the Orissa Co-operative Societies Act, 1962.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Orissa in the Forty-ninth Year of the Republic of India as follows:-
Section 1. Short title, extent and commencement
1. Short title, extent and commencement.- (1) This Act may be called the Orissa Co-operative Societies (Amendment) Act, 1998.
(2) It shall be deemed to have come into force on the 19th day of February, 1998.
Section 2. Amendment of Section 28
2. Amendment of Section 28.- In the Orissa Co-operative Societies Act, 1962 (Orissa Act 2 of 1963), in sub-clause, (iv) of clause (g), of sub-section (2) of Section 28, for the Words "nineteen mouths", the words; "thirty months" shall be substituted.
Section 3. ???
3. ???.- (1) The Orissa Co-operative Societies (Amendment) Ordinance, 1998 is hereby repealed.
(2) Notwithstanding such repeal, anything done or any action taken under the principal Act, as amended by the said Ordinance, shall be deemed to have been done or taken under the principal Act as amended by this Act.
