Pieamblt.—WHEREAS it IS necessary to provrde fat the prevention of

Br: 1t enacted in the Twelfth Year of the Republic of India as
follows'j .

the Kcrala Preventton of Dtsturbances of Publtc Meetings Act, l961.
(2) It extends to whole ofthe State ochrala.
(3) It shall come into force at once,

pubhc meeting acts in a disorderly manner for the put pose of prevent»

together shall be guilty of an offence under thts Act and shall, on con-
vieuon, be liable to impnsonment of etthet descrtptton for a term
whtch may extend to one month or \vnh fine which may extend to
one hundred rupees or with both.

sectton shall be gutlly of a ltke offence.
(3) Any Police Officer may attest wrthout Vwan ant a person who
commits an ofl‘encc under tlns sretton.
Explanaltnu.—Fm the purpose of thn sect-on “publtc meeung” means any tnecttng bona fnizv and lawlully held for a lawful purpose and
for the furtherence or dtscussmn ofany matter of publtr. concern [0
whtch the publtc or any parttcular sertion of the Epttbhc ts tnvnted or

Meetmgs Act XXVIIl at 1124, I: hereby repealed.
