Wild Animals and Wild Birds Protection (Repeal) Act, 2004

GUJARAT ACT 015 OF 2004

An Act to repeal the Gujarat Wild Animals and Wild Birds Protection Act, 1963.

It is hereby enacted in the Fifty-fifth Year of the Republic of India, as follows:

Section 1. Short title

This Act may be called the Gujarat Wild Animals and Wild Birds Protection (Repeal) Act, 2004.

Section 2. Repeal and saving

(1) The Gujarat Wild Animals and Wild Birds Protection Act, 1963 (Guj. XXXII of 1963) is hereby repealed.

(2) Notwithstanding such repeal, the provisions of section 7 of the Bombay General Clauses Act, 1904 (Bom. 1 of 1904) shall apply in relation to the repeal of the Gujarat Wild Animals and Wild Birds Protection Act, 1963 (Guj. XXXII of 1963) as if the Act had been an enactment within the meaning of the said section 7.
