Gujarat Rural Debtors' Relief (Amendment) Act, 1981*

An Act further to amend the Gujarat Rural Debtors' Relief (Amendment) Act, 1981.
It is hereby enacted in the Thirty-third Year of the Republic of India as follows:-
Section 1. Short title
1. Short title.- This Act may be called the Gujarat Rural Debtors' Relief (Amendment) Act, 1981.
Section 2. Amendment of section 28 of Presidents Act, 35 of 1976
2. Amendment of section 28 of Presidents Act, 35 of 1976.- In the Gujarat Rural Debtors' Relief Act, 1976 (President's Act 35 of 1976), in section 28, after sub-section (3), the following sub-sections shall be added, namely:-
"(4) All rules made under this section shall be laid for not less than thirty days before the State Legislature as soon as may be after they are made and shall be subject to rescission by the State Legislature or to such modification as the State Legislature may mike during the session in which they are so laid, or the session immediately following.
(5) Any rescission or modification so made by the State Legislature shall be published in the Official Gazette and shall thereupon take effect.".
