Gujarat Agricultural Produce Markets (Amendment) Act, 1993*

An Act further to amend the Gujarat Agricultural Produce Markets Act, 1963.
It is hereby enacted in the Forty-third Year of the Republic of India as follows:-
Section 1. Short title and commencement
1. Short title and commencement.- (1) This Act may be called the Gujarat Agricultural Produce Markets (Amendment) Act, 1993.
(2) It shall be deemed to have come into force on the 15th October, 1992.
Section 2. Amendment of section 33 of Guj. XX of 1964
2. Amendment of section 33 of Guj. XX of 1964.- In the Gujarat Agricultural Produce Marietta Act, 1963 (Guj. XX of 1964) (hereinafter referred to as "the principal Act"), in section 33, after clause (11), the following new clause shall be inserted, namely:-
"(11A) donation of an amount not exceeding twenty per cent, of the Market Committee Fund (excluding the loans and funds raised or obtained for any specific purpose) for the charitable purpose within the meaning of section 2 of the Charitable Endowments Act, 1890 (VI of 1890) with the previous approval of the State Government and subject to such conditions, as it may impose; and".
Section 3. Repeal and saving
3. Repeal and saving.- (1) The Gujarat Agricultural Produce Markets (Amendment) Ordinance, 1992 is hereby repealed (Guj. Ord. 1 of 1992).
(2) Notwithstanding such repeal, anything done or any action taken under the principal Act as amended by the said Ordinance shall be deemed to have been done or taken under the principal Act as amended by this Act.
