An Act further to amend the Chhattisgarh Municipalities Act, 1961 (No. 37 of 1961).
Be it enacted by the Chhattisgarh Legislature in the Fifty-forth year of the Republic of India as follows:-
Section 1. Short title and commencement
1. Short title and commencement.- (1) This Act may be called the Chhattisgarh Municipalities (Amendment) Adhiniyam, 2003 (No. 5 of 2003).
(2) It shall come into force from date of its notification in the official Gazette.
Section 2. Amendment of Section 322
2. Amendment of Section 322.- In Section 322 of Chhattisgarh Municipalities Act, 1961 (No. 37 of 1961) hereinafter called Principal Act, for words "Divisional Commissioner" the words "Director Urban Planning and Development" shall be substituted.
Section 3. Amendment of Section 323
3. Amendment of Section 323.- In sub-section (1) of the Principal Act, for words "Divisional Commissioner" the words "Director Urban Planning and Development" shall be substituted.
Section 4. Amendment of Section 331
4. Amendment of Section 331.- In sub-section (1) and (2) of the Principal Act, for words "Divisional Commissioner" the words "Director Urban Planning and Development" shall be substituted;
Section 5. Amendment of Section 332
5. Amendment of Section 332.- In sub-section (1) of the Principal Act, for words "Commissioner" the words "Director Urban Planning and Development" shall be substituted.
Section 6. Amendment of Section 345
6. Amendment of Section 345.- In sub-section (2) of the Principal Act, for words "Commissioner" the words "Director Urban Planning and Development" shall be substituted.
