An Act further to amend the Chhattisgarh Entertainment Duly and Advertisement Tax Act, 1936 [No. 30 or 1936).
Be it enacted by the Chhattisgarh Legislature in the fifty-ninth year of the Republic of India as follows:-
Section 1. Short title, extend and commencement
1. Short title, extend and commencement.- (1) This Act may be called the Chhattisgarh Entertainment Duly and Advertisement Tax (Amendment) Act, 2008 (No. 9 of 2008).
(2) It extends to the whole of Chhattisgarh.
(3) It shall come into force from the date of its publication in the Official Gazelle.
Section 2. Amendment of Section 3
2. Amendment of Section 3.- In para (i) of first proviso of sub-section (1) of section 3 of the Chhattisgarh Entertainment Duly and Advertisement Tax Act, 1936 (No. 30 of 1936). For the words and figure "25 thousand (twenty five thousand)" the words "One lakh" shall be substituted.
