An Act Further to Amend the Andhra Pradesh Land Grabbing (Prohibition) Act, 1982

Be it enacted by the Legislative Assembly of the State of Andhra Pradesh in the Forty-fifth Year of the Republic of India as follows:-

Section 1. Short title

1. Short title.- (1) This Act may be called the Andhra Pradesh Land Grabbing (Prohibition) (Amendment) Act, 1994.

(2) It extends to the whole of the State of Andhra Pradesh.

Section 2. Amendment of section 1

2. Amendment of section 1.- In the Andhra Pradesh Land Grabbing (Prohibition) Act, 1982 (Act 12 of 1982), in section 1, for sub-section (3A) the following sub-section shall be substituted, namely:-

"(3A) It applies also to any other lands situated in such areas as the Government may, by notification specify, having, due regard to,-

(a) the urbanisable nature of the land; or

(b) the usefulness or potential usefulness of such land for commercial industrial, pisciculture or prawnculture purposes.".
