Preamble

An Act to amend the Indian Paper Currency (Amendment) Act, 1917

(Received the assent of the Governor-General on the 12th March 1918)

Whereas it is expedient to amend the Indian Paper Currency (Amendment) Act, 19 of 1917; It is hereby enacted as follows:-

Section 1. Short title

1. Short title.-This Act may be called the Indian Paper Currency (Amendment) Act, 1918.

Section 2. Amendment of Section 2, Act 19 of 1917

2. Amendment of section 2, Act 19 of 1917.-In Section 2 of the Indian Paper Currency (Amendment) Act, 1917, for the words "four hundred and twenty millions" the words "six hundred and sixty millions" shall be substituted.
