ELECTIONS, § 243 — contempt, trial judge candidate at election involved. In contempt proceedings against election officials for assisting voters not entitled to assistance, and without requiring voters to make an affidavit, conviction would be reversed where trial judge was a candidate at the election in question, and since no one was permitted to vote who was not entitled to, and the court was admittedly correct, if defendants should be found guilty upon retrial a moderate fine would be sufficient punishment.
