THE PUNJAB LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY SPEAKER'S AND DEPUTY

SPEAKER'S SALARIES (SECOND AMENDMENT) ACT, 2011

AN

ACT

further to amend the Punjab Legislative Assembly Speaker 's and Deputy Speaker 's Salaries Act, 1937.

BE it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Punjab in the Sixty second Year of the Republic of India as follows -

1. (1) This Act may be called the Punjab Legislative Assembly Speaker's Short title and

and Deputy Speaker's Salaries (Second Amendment) Act, 2011. (2) It shall come into force on and with effect from the date of its

poblication in the Official Gazette.

2. In the Punjab Legislative A ssembly Speaker's and Deputy Speaker's Salaries Act, 1937, in section 3-B, for sub-section () excepting the second proviso, the following sub-section shall be substituted, namely :

"(4) The Speaker and the Deputy Speaker each alongwith his spouse and his dependent children accompanying either of them and an aftendant accompanying him to look after and assist him shall, during the course of a financial year, be entitled to travel by any railway in India or within or outside India by an air-conditioned coach or by air or by private taxi or by his own motor car and an amount equivalent to the expenses incurred on such journey, shall be reimbursed to the member:

Provided that the Speaker and the Deputy Speaker furnishes a certificate in respect of the journey undertaken and the sum of money spent thereupon:".

BE it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Punjab in the Sixty- second Year of the Republic of India as follows —

1. (1) ThisAct may be called the Punjab Legislative Assembly Speaker’s Short title and and Deputy Speaker’s Salaries (Second Amendment) Act, 2011. commencement (2) It shall come into force on and with effect from the date of its

publication in the Official Gazette.

2. In the Punjab Legislative Assembly Speaker’s and Deputy Speaker’s Amendment of Salaries Act, 1937, in section 3-B, for sub-section (1) excepting the second S¢ction 3-B of 3 : 4 . Punjab Act 3 of proviso, the following sub-section shall be substituted, namely :— 1937. “(1) The Speaker and the Deputy Speaker each alongwith his
