THE WEST BENGAL APPROPRIATION (EXCESS
EXPENDITURE, 1982-83, 1983-84 AND 1984-85)
ACT, 1993.

An Act to regularise payment and appropriation of certain further sums from and out of the Consolidated Fund of West Bengal for the services and purposes of the year ending on the thirty-first day of March, 1983, the year ending on the thirty-first day of March, 1984 and the year ending on the thirty-first day of March, 1985. It is hereby enacted in the Forty-fourth Year of the Republic of India, by the Legislature of West Bengal, as follows:-
1. This Act may be called the West Bengal Appropriation (Excess Short title. Expenditure, 1982-83, 1983-84 and 1984-85) Act, 1993.
2. From and out of the Consolidated Fund of West Bengal,— Issue of Rs.
(1) sums not exceeding those specified in column 3 of 1,19,47,36,622, Rs. Schedule I amounting in the aggregate to the sum of rupees 65,89,86,817 one hundred nineteen crores forty-seven lakhs thirty-six and Rs. 35,20,32,698 thousand six hundred and twenty-two, out of the
Consoli-
(2) sums not exceeding those specified in column 3 of dated Fund Schedule II amounting in the aggregate to the sum of rupees of West Bengal
sixty-five crores eighty-nine lakhs eighty-six thousand eight respectively hundred and seventeen, for the
services and
(3) sums not exceeding those specified in column 3 of Schedule purposes of III amounting in the aggregate to the sum of rupees thirty-
the year 1982-83, five crores twenty lakhs thirty-two thousand six hundred the year and ninety-eight, 1983-84 and
the year
are authorised for payment and application towards defraying the several 1984-85. charges which are incurred during—
(i) the year ending on the thirty-first day of March, 1983,
(ii) the year ending on the thirty-first day of March, 1984, and
(iii) the year ending on the thirty-first day of March, 1985,

respectively, in respect of the services and purposes specified in column 2 of each such Schedule and which were in excess of the amounts granted for the services and purposes of the respective year. Appropria-
tion. 3. The sums authorised for payment and application from and out of the Consolidated Fund of West Bengal by this Act shall be deemed to have been respectively appropriated for the services and purposes expressed in Schedules I, II and III in relation to the year ending on the thirty-first day of March, 1983, the year ending on the thirty-first day of March, 1984 and the year ending on the thirty-first day of March,
1985.
