An Act further to amend the Assam Assessment of Revenue Free Waste Land Grants Act, 1948.
Preamble. WHEREAS it is expedient further to amend the Assam Assessment of Revenue Free Waste Land Grants Act, 1948 hereinafter called the principal Act, in the manner herein after appearing ;
It is hereby enacted as follows:-
Short title, l. (1) This Act may be called the Assam Assessment extent and of Revenue Free Waste · Land Grants (Amendment) Act, commence- 1949. mo::nt.
(2) It shall have the like extent as the prin..:ipal Act. (3) It shall be deemed to have had effect as from the
1st day of April, 1948.
Amen~ment 2. In section 3 of the principal Act, in the 5th line the of sectwn 3' word "or" occurring between the word "Land'' and the Assam Act ' XXIV of word "Grant" shall be deleted. 1948.
