ACT
to repeal the Assam College Education (Provincialisation) Act, 1996. Whereas it is expedient to repeal the Assam Act II Assam College Education (Provincialisation) of 1996. Act, 1996.
It is hereby enacted in the Porty-ninth year of the Republic oflndia as follows :-
1. (1) This Act may be called the Assam College Education (Provincialisation) Act Repealing Act, 1998.
(2) It shall extend to the whole of Assam
(3) It shall come into force at once.
2. The Assam College Education Assam Act (Provincialisation) Act, 1996, shall stand No. II repealed . of 1996.
3. (1) The Assam College Education (Provincialisation) Act Repealing Ordinance, 1998 is hereby repealed.
(2) Notwithstanding such repeal, anything done or any action taken under the Ordinance c>o repealed shall be deemed to have be.en done or taken under the corresponding provisions of this Act.
