ORISSA ACT 7 OF 1963
THE ORISSA LOCAL BODIES (SUSPENSION OF ELECTIONS) (REPEAL) ACT, 1963

Orissa Gazette, dated the 23rd April 1963)

AN ACT TO PROVIDE FOR THE REPEAL OF THE ORISSA LOCAL BODIES (SUSPENSION OF ELECTIONS) ACT, 1962
BE it enacted by ' the Legislature of the State of Orissa in the Fourteenth Year of the Republic of
India as follows :—
eS 1. (1) This Act may be called the Orissa Local commence; Bodies (Suspension of Elections ) ( Repeal) Act, ment. 1963.
° (2) It shall extend to the whole of the State of Orissa.
(3) It shall come into force at once.
Repeal of 2. The Orissa Local Bodies (Suspension of OnissaAct~ Elections) Act, 1962, is hereby repealed. ea
Cesser of 3. All. persons nominated in pursuance’ of pened clause (3) of section 3 of the repealed enactmentshall members. cease to hold office, with effect from the date of
commencementof this Act.

E it enacted by the Legislature Of the State of Orissa in the Fourteenth Year of the Republic of
India as follows :—
1. (1) This Act may be called the OrissaLocal Bodies ( Suspension of Elections ) (Repeal) Act, 1963.
(2) It shall extend to the whole of the State of Orissa.
(3) It shall come into force at once. 2. The Orissa Local Bodies (Suspension of
Orina ActElections) Act, 1962,is hereby repealed. 28 of 1962.
3. All persons nominated in pursuance of clause (3) of section 3 of the repealed enactment shall cease to hold office, with effect from the date of commencement of this Act.
