THE AYUSH AND HEALIII SCIENCES UNIVERSITY OF CHHATTISGARH
( AMENDMENT) ACT,2016
An Act further to amend the Ayush and Health Sciences University ofChhattisgarh Act, 2008 (No. 2l of2008).
Be it enacted by the Chhattisgarh Legislature in the Sixty-seventh Year ofthe Republic of India, as follows :-
l. (1) ThisAct may be called theAyush and Health Sciences Univemity of Chhattisgarh (Amendment) Act, 2016.
(2) It extends to the whole State of Chhattisgarh.
(3) It shall come into force from the date ofits publication in the Official Gazette.
2. After clause (k) ofsection 2 ofthe Ayush and Health Sciences University of Chhattisgarh Act,2008 (No.21 of2008), (hereinafter referred to as rhe PrincipalAct), the following shall be inserted, namely :-
"(k-l) "Department" means depaxhnent as declared by the University."
3. In sub-section (1) ofSection 3 ofthe Principal Act,- (D for the words "Al,ush and Health Sciences University of Chlattisgarh", the words '?andit Deendayal Upadhyay Memorial Health Sciences and Alush University of Cbhattisgaxh" shall be substituted;
(ii) for the punctuation semi colon ";", the punctuation colon ":" shall be substituted; and
(iiD below sub-section (1), the following shall be inserted, naiply:-
"Provided that,-
(a) All the instrument, contract, degree, diploma, order, notification signed in the name ofttre Ayush and Health Sciences University ofChhattisgarb shall be deemed to be issued in the name ofPandit Deendayal Upadhyay Memorial Health Sciences and Aytsh University of Chhattisgarh; and
(b) The cases pending before any Court, Tribunal or Authority, in which the Ayush and Health Sciences University ofchhattisgaxh is a party shall continue in the same manner as if this amendment has not been made."
4. for sub-section (l l) ofSection I I ofthe hincipalAct, the following shall be substituted, namely :-
