THE GUWAHATI MUNICIPAL CORPORATION
(SECOND AMENDMENT) ACT, 1994
AN
ACT
further to amend the Guwahati Municipal Cor-,• A a I of 1973. poration Act, 1969. preamble. Whereas it is expedient further to amend
the Guwahati Municipal Corporation Act,
1969, hereinafter referred to as the princi-
pal A ct;
It is hereby enacted in the Forty-fifth
Year of the Republic of India as follows

" (a) the Standing Committee ;
(b) the Ward Committee; and
(c) the Commissioner."

d 53, the word, "Commissioner", wherever s''an<1it occurs, the words, "State Election Com- mission" shall be substnuted.

"an Officer authorised by the State Election Commission".

"Government" , the word, "State Election Commission" shall be substituted. Amendment g l n the principal Act, in section 426,
426. SECtlOn in sub-section (1), in the end, after the word, "provided", for full stop comma","
shall be substituted, and after the comma so inserted, the following shall be inserted namely -
"except making rules for matters referred under clauses (a) to (1) of sub-section (2) which may be made after consultation with the State Election Commission" .
