AN ACT TO PROVIDE FOR THE TRANSFER OF PENDING
CASES, BEFORE THE ANDHRA PRADESH
ADMINISTRATIVE TRIBUNAL TO THE HIGH COURT
OF JUDICATURE AT HYDERABAD PERTAINING TO
THE STATE OF TELANGANA CONSEQUENT UPON
THE NOTIFICATION NO. G.S.R. 888 (E), DATED: 15TH
SEPTEMBER 2016, ISSUED BY THE GOVERNMENT
OF INIDA.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Telangana in the Sixty-seventh Year of the Republic of India as follows:-
1. (1) This Act may be called the Telangana (Transfer of pending Cases of State of Telangana from the A.P. Administrative Tribunal to High Court of Judicature at Hyderabad) Act, 2016.
(2) It shall be deemed to have been come into force with effect from 29th September, 2016.
2. In this Act, unless the context otherwise requires:-
(a) "CASE (S)" means and includes a Suit / Original Application / Review / contempt or other proceedings by whatever name called, in respect of the State of Telangana * Received the assent of the Governor on the 24thJanuary, 2017. Short title and

2 [Act No.14 of 2017] decided or pending in the Tribunal as on the date of this Act;
(b) "HIGH COURT" means, the High Court of Judicature at Hyderabad as specified in Part IV of the Andhra Pradesh Reorganization Act, 2014;
(c) "STATE OF TELANGANA" means the State of Telangana with the territories as specified in section 3 of the Andhra Pradesh Reorganization Act, 2014;
(d) "TRIBUNAL" means the Andhra Pradesh Administrative Tribunal established under sub-section (2) of section 4 of the Administrative Tribunals, Act, 1985.
3. All the pending cases, before the Tribunal, pertaining to State of Telangana, as on the date of this Act shall stand transferred to the High Court including the records of pending and disposed cases.
4. As soon as after the transfer of pending cases under section 3 the High Court shall intimate the parties and their counsel accordingly.
5. The Telangana (Transfer of pending cases of State of Telangana from the Andhra Pradesh Administrative Tribunal to High Court of Judicature at Hyderabad) Ordinance, 2016 is hereby repealed.
