Preamble. Whereas it is expedient further to amend the Assam Amusements and Betting Tax Act, 1939, yTSa? 1nggt hereinafter called the principal Act, in the manner 0 here; natter' sappearing ;
It is hereby enacted in the Seventeenth Year of the Republic of India as follows;—■
Short title, extent and commence- snetit.
1. (1) This Act may be called the Assam Amuse ments and Betting Tax (Amendment) Act, 1966.
(2) It shall have the like extent as the principal Act.
(3) It shall come into force on such date as the State Government may, by notifica tion in the official Gazette, appoint.
Amendment 2. In sub-section (1) of section 3A of the principal of section 3A Act, the punctuation full stop “ (.)” at the end Act^vi'of s *i a ^ be deleted and the words ‘‘"or rupees ten 19*39. ° whichever is less” followed by the punctuation full stop
