further to amend the Assam Municipal Act, 1956.
Preamble Whereas it is expedient further to amend Assam Act the Assam Municipal Act, 1956, in the mannerXV of 1957. hereinafter appearing ;
It is hereby enacted in the
Year of the Republic of India as

Short title,
extent and
commence-
m en t
1. (1) This Act may be called the Assam Municipal (Amendment) Act, 1991.
(2) It shall have the like extent as the principal Act.
(3) It shall come into force at once. Amendment
of Section 2. In the Assam Municipal Act, 1956, in 14 of Assam Section 14, for the words "twenty-one years"
1957. the words "eighteen years" shall be substituted.
