further to amend the Assam Amusement and Betting Tax Act,1939
(Assam Act VI of 1959) as extended to the State of Manipur.
BE it enacted by the Legislature of Manipur in the Forty—
ninth Year of the Republic of India as follows :—
1. Short title and commencement.— (1) This Act may be called
the Assam Amusement and Betting Tax (Manipur Fourth Amendment)
Act,1998.
(2) It shall come into force with effect from 1st Auéust,
1998.
2. Amendment of section 3A.— In subzeection (1) of section 5A
of the Assam Amusement and Betting Tax Act,1939 as extended to
_the State of Manipur, for the words "rupees five",_the words
“rupees one hundred" shall be substituted.
