An Act To further amend the Uttar Pradesh Legislature (Emoluments and Pension of Members) Act, 1980 (Uttar Pradesh Act No. 23 of 1980) in its applicapability to State of Uttaranchal-

It is Hereby enacted in the Fifty third year of the Republic of India, as follows-

Section 1. Short title and Commencement

1. Short title and Commencement.- (1) This Act may be called the Uttar Pradesh Legislature (Emoluments and Pension of Members) (Second Uttaranchal Amendment) Act, 2002.

(2) It shall come into force at once.

Section 2. Amendment of Section 17-A of the Principal Act

2. Amendment of Section 17-A of the Principal Act.- Section 17-A of the Principal Act shall be deemed amended as follows-

(1) In Section 17-A of the Principal Act the words "not exceeding Rupees Two Lacs" shall be substituted by the words "not exceeding Rupees Three Lacs"
