Tamil Nadu Entertainments Tax (Third Amendment) Act, 2000*

An Act further to amend the Tamil Nadu Entertainments Tax Act, 1939.
Be it enacted by the Legislative Assembly of the State of Tamil Nadu in the Fifty-first Year of the Republic of India as follows:-
Section 1. Short title and commencement
1. Short title and commencement.- (1) This Act may be called the Tamil Nadu Entertainments Tax (Third Amendment) Act, 2000.
(2) It shall be deemed to have come into force on the 11th day of December, 1995.
Section 2. Amendment of Schedule 1
2. Amendment of Schedule I.- In Schedule I to the Tamil Nadu Entertainments Tax Act, 1939 (Tamil Nadu Act X of 1939) (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act), in Part-D, under the heading "Madurai district", after item 3, the following item shall be added, namely:-
"4. Usilampatti.".
Section 3. Amendment of Schedule II
3. Amendment of Schedule II.- In Schedule II to the principal Act, under the heading "Madurai district", item "5. Usilampatti" shall be omitted.
