An Act further to amend the Tamil Nadu Contingency Fund Act, 1954
Be it enacted by the Legislative Assembly of the State of Tamil Nadu in the Fortieth Year of the Republic of India as follows:-
Section 1. Short title and commencement
1. Short title and commencement.- (1) This Act may be called the Tamil Nadu Contingency Fund (Amendment) Act, 1989.
(2) It shall be deemed to have come into force on the 1st day of April, 1989.
Section 2. Amendment of section 2
2. Amendment of section 2.- In sub-section (1) of section 2 of the Tamil Nadu Contingency Fund Act, 1954, for the words "a sum of fifty crores of rupees the words" a sum of seventy-five crores of rupees" shall be substituted.
