An Act further to amend the Tamil Nadu Co-operative Societies (Appointment of Special Officers) Act, 1976

Be it enacted by the Legislative Assembly of the State of Tamil Nadu in the Forty-eighth Year of the Republic of India as follows:-

* Received the assent of the Governor on the 5th May, 1997 and published in the Tamil Nadu Government Gazette, Extraordinary, No. 258, dated May 6, 1997.

Section 1. Short title and commencement

1. Short title and commencement.- (1) This Act may be called the Tamil Nadu Co-operative Societies (Appointment of Special Officers) Second Amendment Act, 1997.

(2) It shall come into force atonce.

Section 2. Amendment of section 4

2. Amendment of section 4.- In section 4 of the Tamil Nadu Co-operative Societies (Appointment of Special Officers) Act, 1976 (President's Act ??? of 1976), in sub-section (1), for the words "twenty years and eleven months", the words "twenty-one years and five months" shall be substituted.
