An Act further to amend the Sree Pandaravaka Lands (Vesting and Enfranchisement) Act, 1971
Preamble.- Whereas it is expedient further to amend the Sree Pandaravaka Lands (Vesting and Enfranchisement) Act, 1971, for the purpose hereinafter appearing;
Be it enacted in the Twenty-eighth Year on the Republic of India as follows:-
Section 1. Short title and commencement
1. Short title and commencement.- (1) This Act may be called the Sree Pandaravaka Lands (Vesting and Enfranchisement) Amendment Act, 1977.
(2) It shall be deemed to have come into force on the 1st day of August, 1975.
Section 2. Amendment of Section 13
2. Amendment of Section 13.- In section 13 of the Sree Pandaravaka Lands (Vesting and Enfranchisement) Act, 1971 (20 of 1971) (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act), in the proviso to sub-section (1), for the words "four years", the words "six years" shall be substituted.
Section 3. Repeal and saving
3. Repeal and saving.- (1) The Sree Pandravaka Lands (Vesting and Enfranchisement) Amendment Ordinance, 1977 (10 of 1977), is hereby repealed.
(2) Notwithstanding such repeal, anything done or deemed to have been done or any action taken or deemed to have been taken under the principal Act as amended by the said Ordinance shall be deemed to have been done or taken under the principal Act as amended by this Act.
