The Punjab Panchayat Samitis (Haryana Validation) Act, 1974

An Act to validate the reconstitution of certain Panchayat Samitis.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Haryana in the Twenty-fifth Year of the Republic of India as follows:

Section 1. Short title

This Act may be called the Punjab Panchayat Samitis (Haryana Validation) Act, 1974.

Section 2. Validation

Notwithstanding anything to the contrary contained in section 3 of the Punjab Panchayat Samitis Act, 1961, or in any judgement, decree or order of any court as to the requirement of issuance of notification, the Panchayat Samitis reconstituted for the re-delimited blocks shall be and shall always be deemed to have been validly reconstituted in accordance with the provisions of the said Act and accordingly

(a) all acts, proceedings or things done or taken by the Panchayat Samitis or the Government or by any officer of the Government shall, for all purposes, be deemed to be and to have always been, done or taken in accordance with law; and

(b) no suit or other proceeding in respect thereof shall be maintained or continued in any court.
