An Act further to Amend the Orissa Municipal Act, 1950.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Orissa in the Fifty-third Year of the Republic of India as follows:-

Section 1. Short title

1. Short title.- This Act may be called the Orissa Municipal (Second Amendment) Act, 2002.

Section 2. Amendment of section 13

2. Amendment of section 13.- In section 13 of the Orissa Municipal Act, 1950 (Orissa Act 23 of 1950), in sub-section (1), for the words "Except as otherwise provided in this Act or the rules made thereunder", the words "Unless the Election Commission, by order published in the Gazette, directs otherwise" shall be substituted.

SECTIONS
