Gujarat Devasthan Inams Abolition (Amendment) Act, 1977*

An Act further to amend the Gujarat Devasthan Inams Abolition Act, 1969.
It is hereby enacted in the Twenty-eighth Year of the Republic of India as follows:-
Section 1. Short title
1. Short title.- This Act may be called the Gujarat Devasthan Inams Abolition (Amendment) Act, 1977.
Section 2. Amendment of section 11 of Guj. 16 of 1969
2. Amendment of section 11 of Guj. 16 of 1969.- In the Gujarat Devasthan Inams Abolition Act, 1969, in section II-
(i) in sub-section (1), for the words "If any person", the words "If any person other than an inamdar" shall be, and shall be deemed always to have been, substituted;
(ii) after sub-section (3), the following sub-section shall be inserted, namely:-
"(4) Notwithstanding anything contained in any judgment, decree or order of any Court or other authority, nothing in sub-section (1) as it stood before the commencement of the Gujarat Devasthan Inams Abolition (Amendment) Act, 1977 shall be deemed ever to have entitled an inamdar to claim any compensation under this section for the abolition, extinguishment or modification of any of his rights tn, or interest in, property.".
