An Act further to amend the Arunachal Pradesh (Re-Organisation of Districts) Act, 1980 (No. 3 of (1980)
Be it enacted by the Legislative Assembly of Arunachal Pradesh in the Fifty-Second Year of the Republic of India as follows:-
Section 1
1. (1) This Act may be called the Arunachal Pradesh (Re-Organisation of Districts) (Amendment) Act, 2001.
(2) It shall come into force at once.
Section 2
2. (1) In the Arunachal Pradesh (Re-Organisation of Districts) Act, 1980 (hereinafter referred to as the Principal Act), after sub-section (2) of section 6, the following sub-section shall be inserted namely:-
"3 On and from the appointed day the Arunachal Pradesh (Re-Organisation of Districts) (Amendment) Act, 2001 comes into force, so much of the area comprising the following administrative units under the Dibang Valley districts namely:-
1. Roing
2. Dambuk
3. Koranu
4. Hunli
5. Desali
6. Paglam (Tinali)
shall be constituted as a separate administrative unit and be known by the name of LOWER DIBANG VALLEY DISTRICT".
