An Act further to amend the Delhi University Act, 1922

Be it enacted by Parliament in the Fifty-third Year of the Republic of India as follows:-

1 Received the assent of the President on 12-8-2002 and published in the Gazette of India, Extra., Part II.

Section 1. Short title

1. Short title.-This Act may be called the Delhi University (Amendment) Act, 2002.

Section 2. Amendment of Section 5 of Act 8 of 1922

2. Amendment of Section 5 of Act 8 of 1922.-In Section 5 of the Delhi University Act, 1922, in sub-section (2), after the proviso, the following proviso shall be inserted, namely:-

"Provided further that provisions of this sub-section shall not apply in the case of any educational institution affiliated to the Indraprastha Vishwavidyalaya incorporated under the Indraprastha Vishwavidyalaya Act, 1998 (Delhi Act 9 of 1998).".
