Status report filed pursuant to order dated 28.05.2024 of this Court whereby the present writ petitions were disposed of, reveals that inaction on the part of District Magistrate to decide applications u/s 14 of Securitisation and Reconstruction of Financial Assets and Enforcement of Security Interest Act, 2002 (SARFAESI Act for brevity) is basically due to lack of communication between the Bank and the District Magistrate, and even after the orders u/s 14 of SARFAESI Act are passed, the Bank in several cases does not come forward to take possession of the secured asset.
The aforesaid status report is taken on record.
