Preamble. Whereas it is expedient fur ther to amend the Assam Assam Finance (Sales Tax) Act, 1956, hereinafter called the Al~5~I of p rincipal Act , in the manner herein afte r appearing i .
It is here by enac ted in the Nine teen th Year of the R epubl ic of India as follows:-
Short title; 1. ( I) This Act may be called the Assam Fin.. extent and ance (Sales T ax) (Second Amendment) Act, 1963. commence-
ment.
(2) It shall have the like extent as the pr In.. cipal Act.
o (3) It shall be deemed to have come into force from the 25th October, 1967, oiz., the date with effect from which th e Assam Finance (Sales Tax) (Amendment) Act , 1967 came into forc e.
Amend ment of Schedule to Assam Act XI of
1956.
2. In the schedule to the principal Act, in item 65, th e full stop occurri ng after the words " potable liquors" shall "he deleted,and the following shall be inserted, namely :-
"except when sold to Defence personnel in Defence Service Canteens."
