An Act further to amend the Trade Unions Act, 1926 in its application to the State of Madhya Pradesh
Be it enacted by the Madhya Pradesh Legislature in the Thirty-second Year of the Republic of India as follows:-
Section 1. Short title
1. Short title.-This Act may be called the Trade Unions (Madhya Pradesh Amendment) Act, 1981.
Section 2. Amendment of Central Act 16 of 1926 in its application to the State of Madhya Pradesh
2. Amendment of Central Act 16 of 1926 in its application to the State of Madhya Pradesh.- The Trade Unions Act, 1926 (16 of 1926) (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act), shall, in its application to State of Madhya Pradesh, be amended in the manner hereinafter provided.
Section 3. Amendment of Section 2
3. Amendment of Section 2.-Clause (b-1) of Section 2 of the principal Act shall be omitted.
Section 4. Insertion of new Section 28-HH
4. Insertion of new Section 28-HH.-In Chapter III-A of the principal Act, after Section 28-H, the following section shall be inserted, namely:-
"28-HH. Definitions.-In this Chapter, -
(a) "Industry" shall have the meaning assigned to that expression in the Madhya Pradesh Industries Relations Act, 1960 (No. 27 of 1960).
(b) ‘local area’ means any area, notified by the Registrar as a local area for any or all industries for the purposes of this Chapter."
