No.13-Leg./2017.- The following Act of the Legislature of the State of
Punjab received the assent of the Governor of Punjab on the 4th day of July,
2017, is hereby published for general information:
THE KHALSA UNIVERSITY (REPEAL) ACT, 2017.
(Punjab Act No. 9 of 2017)
AN
ACT
to repeal the Khalsa University Act, 2016.
BE it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Punjab in the Sixty
cighth Year of the Republic of lndia as follows:

I. () This Act may be called the Khalsa University (Repeal) Act, 2017. Short tille and
(2) It shall be deemed to have come into force with effect from the
30th day of May, 2017.
2. The Khalsa University Act, 2016 (Punjab Act No. 44 of 2016), is Repealing of
hereby repealed:
Provided that admission to the affected students shall be given in
other appropriate educational institutions of the State of Punjab as per their
eligibility, so that the interests of the students are not prejudicially affected.
