THE ASSAM CONTINGENCY FUND (AMENDMENT) ACT,
- 1999
AN
ACT
further to amend the Assam Contingency Fund Act, 1950 Preamble Whereas it is expedient to amend the Assam Contingency Fund Act, 1950, here-in- after called the principal Act.
It is hereby enacted in the Fiftieth Year of the Republic of India as follows :-

(1) This Act may be called the Assam Contingency Fund (Amendment) Act, 1999.
(2) It shall come into force at once and shall remain valid upto 3 l st March, 2000. In the principal Act, in section 3, the following proviso shall be added, namely :-
"Provided that during the period of operation of the Assam Contingency Fund (Amendment) Act, 1999 a further sum of fifty crores of rupees shall be paid from and out of the Consolidated Fund of the State of Assam into the Contingency Fund."
Repeal and 3. (1) The Assam Contingency Fund Assam Savings. (Amendment) Ordinance, 1999 is hereby repealed. Ordinance
(2) Notwithstanding such repeal, anything done or any action taken under .the Ordinance so repealed shall be deemed to have been done or taken under this Act as if this Act had commenced on the 28th July, 1999.
