It is he1eby ena..:ted in the Twenty-fifth Year of the Republic of India as follow3:-

1. (1) This Act may be called the A~sam Board of Revenue (Amendment) Act, 1974.
(2) It shall hav~ the like extent as the principal Act.
(3) It shall come into force at once. Amendment 2

In Section 3 of the principal Act, for ub-section (2), the f illowing shall be substituted, namely-
"(2) The Board shall consist of four members to be appointed by . the State Government :

3. The entries made in columns 1, 2, 3 and 4 in Schedule "B'' of the Assam Board of Revenue Act, 1962 relating to the Assam Exci1c Act, 1910 1hall be deleted •
4. (a} Th~ Assam Board of Revenue (Amendment) Ordinance, 1974 ia hereby r pealed.
(b) Notwithstanding such repeal, anything dQne or any action taken under the: Ordinance as repealed :.hall be deemed to have been done or taken under the Assam Board of Revenue (Amendment) Act, 1974 as if the Assam Board of Re.venue (Amendmtint) Act, 1974 had com- menced on the Sixteenth day of July, 1974 (date of promulaauon of the Ordinance).
