An Act to repeal the Travancore-Cochin Electricity Supply
Surcharge Act, 1955
Preamble—WHEREAS 1t ts necessary to repeal the
Travancore-Cochm Electrtci’ty Supply Surcharge Act, 1955;
BE 1t enacted m the Twenty-second Year of the Republic of
Indra as follows:
1. Short utle and commencement.-—(l) This Act may be
called the Travancore—Cochm Electrtctty Supply Surcharge
(Repeal) Act, 1971.
(2) It shall be deemed -to have come mto force on the
lst day of Apnl, 1968.
2. Repeal. —The Travancore-Cochin Electricrty Supply
Surcharge Act, 1955 (14 of 1955), IS hereby repealed.
3. Assignment of arrears to the Board.—-Any amount of
surcharge collected by the Kerala State Electrlctty Board and
payable to the Government and any arrears of surcharge re—
coverable under or by vtrtue of the provrsmns of the Act, re—
pealed by section 2 shall be credtted, or shall be recovered and
credtted, as the case may be, In the revenue accounts of the
satd Board as If rt were the revenue accrumg to that Board,
notwtthstandmg anythmg contamed 1n the Act so repealed.
