ACT
further to amend the Thengal Kachari Autonomous Council Act, 2005. Preamble Whereas it is expedient further to amend the Thengal Kachari Autonomous Council Act,
2005, hereinafter referred to as the principal Act, in the manner hereinafter appearing;
It is hereby enacted in the Sixty-eighth
Year of the Republic of India as follows:-

of 2005 Short title, extent and commencement. Amendment of
Section 9
1. (1) This Act may be called the Thengal Kachari Autonomous Council (Amendment) Act, 2017.
(2) Itshall have the like extent as the principal Act.
(3) Itshall corne into force at once.
2. . In the principal Act, in section 9, in sub-section (1), for the words "a majority" appearing in between the words "carried by" and "of the", the words/Itwo-third majority" shall be substituted.
