BILL—PJ' further to amend the Police (Manipur Second Amend-
ment} Act, 7976.
BE it enacted by the Legislature of Manipur in the Twenty-eighth .Year of Republic of India as follows”:
1. (1) This Act may be called the Police (Manipur Third Amendment) Act, 1977.
(2) It shall come into force at once.
2. In section 34 of the Police Act, 1861, the following proviso inserted by the Police (Manipur Second Amend‘ meat) Act, 1976 after clans: Eighth, shall be omitted, namely,—
“Provided that notvéithstanding anything cohtained, . in the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973, an offence under clause Sixth shall be non-bailable.”.
3. (1) The Police (Manipur Third Amendment) Ordinance, 1977 (1 of 1977) is hereby repealed.
(2) Notwithstanding such repeal, anything done or any action taken under the Police Act, 1861 as amended by the said Ordinance shall be deemed 1:0 have been done or taken under the Police Act, 1861 as amended by this Act, as the case may be, as if this Act had come into fort: on ~the da_tc the said Ordinance came into force. .
