It is hereby ena cted in the Fif ty-e igh th Year o f the Republ ic o f Ind ia as foll ows :—
1. (1) Thi s Act may be cal led the Assam Ele ctr icit y Duty (Am end ment) Act,
2007.
(2) It s hall have the lik e exte nt as the pr inc ipa l Act.
(3) It shall co me in to force at once.
Amendment 2. of section 3.
In the p rincip al Act, in sec tion 3, in sub -section ( I) , in the firs t parag raph, for the words "f ive pai se" appea ring between the words "at the rate o f ' and "p er uni t o f ener gy" , the word s " ten pai se" sha l l be substitu ted.
