THE ASSAM PANCHAYAT (SECOND AMENDMENT)

further to amend the Assam Panchayat Act, 1994. preamble Whereas it is expedient further to amend the Assam Panchayat Act, 1994, hereinafter of'1994.

the authority of Town Committee or Sani- tary Board or Cantonment area or any notified area deemed to be urban area under any law for the time being in force, may have less than four terr itori al cons- tituencies and if the rural popula tion of this Legislative Assembly Constituency is less than thir ty thousand, this may form a terri tora l constituency."
